Resetting the Nether. Now in i.16.iii
It is done. When my PC crashed I had 6 months of work to re-do, but I did it. Picayune jobs here and there, bigger things latetly to get dorsum to where I was and more Recently though, I decided I would upgrade to 1.16.iii after not wantng to, and only see how it goes. Honey and bees in 1.15 held no interest me and although I loved the new under, it was best off for a newer earth than this old one. However, with all the work I've done to catch up and and then my ain stuff since information technology merely fabricated me realise something. I've always updated this world, gone through different versions and wjhat it may bring as well as facing challenges (Link chunk errors), and that's what I need, a challenge.

So I linked them upward with a simple cake stairway down for now, just excavation a rubber route down from the main one to the lower one which comes out in the overworld at my castle, Mount DOOOooom.
I accept also been using some of the materials to "Halloween up" my immediate area. Though to become to a warped forest, I did have to build a long sky-bridge beyond the nether by the next crimson forest that joined onto a partial warped forest/Basalt delta Area.
Over at the Chunk Plaza development, when final there, I was laying the last "bones birch" flooring in the last of all fourteen apartments of the hotel. Presently I will brainstorm the interiors phase. I accept also been making crop fields slowlt nearby, and would like a windmill near at that place in these newly formed fields (When washed) eventually.
I accept also extended the master boardwalk out to the lighthouse, only to practice so I had to do the promised improvements to the lighthouse I've been wanting to do for a while. This means changing the white terracotta (pinkish) to white concrete, so If someone did want to see it in the default they could. This updates follows a month afterwards since my last one on the "What have You Done Recently?" thread. So since June 28th to today.
In the last month I investigated more automated bee farms, currently every bit it stands; my "Bee dome" is more of a bee nature reserve to collect honey manually aloowing thee bees to fly around freely. So subsequently finding a cool farm on Youtube, I build a econd - smaller, mini-done for automation off the back off the first one:

Nice - I'm a big fan of domes and really anything spherical, and so naturally I'm attracted to the bee dome pattern. Quartz is also a go-to building block for me, although deepslate I haven't yet had the pleasance of experiencing (I'm withal in 1.15.2 and will stay that way for a petty while). I conceptualize that once I get my easily on it, I too will outset slowly replacing the ol' diorite and andesite constructions... because it does exude a much sexier appeal indeed.

Thank-y'all Joey as always! Information technology was my very first dome I've always done and I had to venture on to plotz.com to figure information technology out but it was very worth it in the end, depspite how tedious it was at times trying to call up where I was each time.
The new outer shell of the kelp farm will get more deorated over time and I've even so got the other h2o elevator going back up to convert to green glass. Debating doing the whole front of the tank as well in the green.

A Small-scale update...
Since the final update I have officially reached the 11th birthday of this earth. Not a peachy bargain has been happening latetly as I've been preoccupied with putting a glass awning over the mono rail that links tfrom the Halfway Firm dorsum to the Castle. Recently, I took several screenshot of my floormap and made ane giant map image in photoshop, then here is what the world looks like from the map:

Speaking of glass domes from terminal fourth dimension... One major matter to happen was the transformation of the bedchamber glass ceiling at the Halfway House. From the early days, the Halfway House started as a facade front to cover a 16x16 chunk fault gap within an overly long chunk error. And so in 2014/2015 I expanded into either side of the chunk fault to really open the place upwards to what it is today, with extensions up in places as it was a half height chunk error. Pocket-sized Things
I've been concentrating on some of the more smaller jobs in and out of the main home, firstly was the entrance to the science lab:
Because of the tinted glass more mobs were spawning near by and kept trying to come up through the doors. If I'grand working in storage all I hear is the audio of the pressure plates and the doors going. I opted for an automatic glass door with pistons that can open up and shut on either side. In the end because of the design, later on having lots of drinking glass around the door now there is merely glass in the door on the poistions. Guess I couls have just stuck a metal door with a switch either side in the end, after all that redstone and lilliputian.

Almost got caught by a creeper going dorsum through, must've come up from the cave - just it was a close one:
I ended up just changing the tinted drinking glass for white glass in the terminate.
As I now had so much drinking glass after my trip into the desert gathering, I finally decided to modify the rest of the unabridged kelp farm from articulate regular glass to lime light-green glass blocks:
I have kept the design of the one-time 6 year monument practically the same but now with drinking glass blocks over the redstone lamps instead of pabnes. This is so it can look exactly the same on bothe sides now instead of just one. Lecterns now sit at the bottom of each pillar so that IF I ever practise world downloads again, at that place might be a niggling something to read in each. I've also made sure the version at the time of each anniversary is correct.

Nice, from those angles it really shows off just how ugly the chunk error border is.
But I like how y'all're covering things up so far. If you decide to do a world download, some information via lecterns would be not bad!! I am taking a similar approach, since new players of the world may need some context to fill in the blanks. I really have a world download of yours from a while back, merely I'm sure information technology's inverse a lot now (it was a few years agone I believe).

Addendum...
I forgot to also add in the concluding update the slight changes to the kitchen in the dinning room. A few years ago I liked the idea of having restone wiring higher up the ceiling and having lots of lamps controlled by a low-cal switch (lever). The only thing was I didn't have it on all the time so at night mobs would plain spawn:

So I went up into the ceiling and led the dust to just a few more blocks frontward to just exterior the mountain and connected it to a daylight sensor, and then at least they would come on at night. I too added a few more heaven-lights in the ceiling and then during the 24-hour interval when they're off, the kitchen is at present bathed a LOT more in natural light!

There are besides a few things to note hither.
I also have redstone under the flooring controlling black conrete blocks up and downwards to hibernate the chests. I noticed the flooring lights also weren't coming on, and upon digging around underneath found that thethe redstone line that came down for the ceiling was also connected to the chest redstone line.
It was a scrap spagetti junction underneath there, so now I accept separated them in to two articulate lines, the ceiling lights now via a sensor now also control the floor lights, however; the redstone line for the chest concealment is at present it'southward completetly own separate one and won't interfere with the redstone line for lights.
Personally, well-nigh of all; I love how much natural daylight at present fills the kitchen during the mean solar day now.

An update....
A lot of my time was evidently taken up with the new corner building next to the hotel at the Chunk Plaza Evolution, since last time as exterior walls, interior temporary floors and top canopy are all now washed! At last I tin say I have finally covered up the last corner of the clamper error wall of the CPD and it at present looks similar this:
After some dithering almost what I was going to do next, I decided to finally face another elephant in the room that has long been abandoned, and that is the hot unfinished mess at the back of the castle:
It's been this manner for a year at to the lowest degree, I never knew how to build the dorsum up. Ideas of a Game Of Thrones way "Black Gate" came and went, but never really saw fruition, leading to this unfinished mess. I decided rather than emulate something else, I should wait to what I already take for inspiration and styling, thus like the two front mini towers/gatehouse I decided to do smiliar at the dorsum but with a twist.
I would keep the same build idea, but unlike the front end the elevation would have an inter-connecting walkway between the two tops and so it actually was a gate house. Subsequently demolishing what was there I accept built in the same style, only this fourth dimension tried to do some of the block palete mixing as I went this fourth dimension, even though the residue of the courtyard too needs a whole new sprucing up.
I have also switched to the winter pack (On curseforge for java):
Afterwards making the changes to the kitchen final time a possible new kitchen re-deco could exist coming from modern to cosy cottage style, something a lot lighter. Also after playing around with a earth copy in ane.18, at that place are a few areas around the castle aslo scoped to make a bit more than interesting and visually improve.
For the immediate, I will most likekly continue to spend the winter at the castle.

January Update
As we near the terminate of January, let's re-cap the terminal month and a half. I did indeed spend the winter in the castle and ended doing far more in makiing a few changes.
First though allow's accept yous back to ane.14.2:
Parts of the grounds just don't work for me whatsoever more than. Just left of below the centre, at that place'south a walled courtyard that'southward been there since the BETA days. To the side of it in that location'south stairs that go up to an open pinnacle of a fort with no real purpose and on it'southward right more than stairs upwards to the right walkway. Although there'due south an underground walk area below the top of the open fort, I have considered levelling it all and really opening it upwardly. There are other parts like left of the walled courtyard some alpine walls that just hide a staircase going up. Along the lesser of the screenshot is the single stable, behind which; is the old retaining wall which no longer seems neccasary as it has been in that location for years.
Then permit's await at this dorsum in one.17 and what changes I wanted to brand:

Time to adorn!
*I take now updated to 1.19 and transplanted my regions (Except the smallest 8kb files) into a brand new .dat file (Along with entities, playerdata, achievements, stats etc). This ways nearer new chunks and things I've never had before - mansions, underwater temples, ruins, shipwrecks and, and end!
One of the things I left out of the final update was a bonemeal farm I copied from from Youtube. At present - I don't need a bonemeal farm - and that'due south not what I accept built information technology for. (Which i'll get in to) This is the one I used still:
I built this, and then information technology could mass produce moss and related lush cavern stuff. On a recent venture into a brand new 1.19 clamper I plant my first hamlet (Typically an abased one), but besides my first shipwreck in this earth. The boodle was not good, notwithstanding information technology did contain a single moss block (Likewise got some of those glow berries from a mineshaft) which I brought back. I needed an expanse to build this redstone contraption. Then merely off my storage there's the wool emporium storage (Wool, carpets, banners, dye from the tall flowers), and through the door and down the stairs to the mine in that location's a piffling door a few steps down leading to a failed squid farm from several versions agone.
I've made some additions since, like placing trapdoors over the water period and so if I exercise just want to collect all the moss blocks, moss carpets and azalea bushes I can. If I do need the bonemeal, I can but keep them upward. Today I had another idea and took one of the grown cave vines placed in certain parts of my world fordecoration now, and found a spot at the collection bespeak of the farm to place information technology and merely bonemeal the vine. (One of the handy thiings from the produced bonemeal) As you can see from the terminal pic I also constitute a spot to the side of the door to grow azalea trees and farm azalea and flowering azalea leafage blocks.
The other affair I did, was adding an extra hopper going into the dispenser witha double chest on top, to constantly feed bonemeal in as it was out when I start tried today. Between my main mob grinder at the lesser of the mountain and the skeleton subcontract not far from the castle, bonemeal is never a problem. At some indicate I volition just completetly fill upward the double chest.
Today I have been watching videos about how to stay interested in your survival world and little tips. Especially helpful as I build things for a purpose not for aesthetics nad just to wait prissy. So sometimes I struggle for ideaa. Thus I am doing a pocket-size Beautification update. I went on my creative copy of the globe (All the same in i.17) and did many things to give me ideas in survival I of them being the empty patio outside my dinning room:
I did my own cart however, and so it was non as cool every bit some of the ones in the videos, but afterward...
Other areas were very based in the Chunk Plaza development and Chunk Plaza station. This is why I will need some of these blocks likewise as the tradional ones. More textures in the grounds/walls, more leaf foilage decoration all will improve the station. With a few small things done to the water feature at the stop of the tracks as well and surrounding land and water past it. I'chiliad as well making a few changes to the undeveloped plot next to the very commencement build on the Chunk Plaza development, the clothes shop on the corner. The building adjacent to it was rock and undeveloped and I'm extending the brick edifice left, the changes to the existing place will be pocket-size and aesthetical.

Distracting myself and.. Storm damage disaster??
I should preface this little mini-project with something similar I did to a neaby building, whereby I took a building that was floating on the sea and extended below the water line to the ocean floor to give it more weight. This building was the piddling dock eating area below the church building, which now has foundations to the sea floor:
With this in mind, I was looking at my floating platform where I'1000 stood by (above), and as you tin can see the sides are a lilliputian flat to say the to the lowest degree. So I got this crazy thought on Friday to add an extra column on the outside of the pillars where there's a blue stripe, which then led me to thinking "Hmmm, what if I extended them down to the bottom of the ocean as well?" So I did that and got a farther idea to fill in between those underwater columns and bleed the water creating an exetion to the current underwater minecart tunnel.
So the new room would be (very tall) and off in this direction I'm looking:

Even so not sure what the surface area will be, but; a nice little extension also having an underwater view tin can't be bad. Despite being careful well-nigh non using my netherite shovel equally it was about to break, I of grade had a moment of forgetfullness and bankrupt it. And then now I have that to replace. I needed more than xp levels for some higher tier enchants, and then took the boat beyond to the skeleton subcontract that's near the castle, or at to the lowest degree that was the plan..
Then I meet this:
"No, no no, it'southward a loading mistake!" I tell myself. Then I save & re-log. Same. Save, quit and close launcher and re-launch ... same... It's very real. I'm guessing it was a storm and lightening hit it? I have lightening conductors on my castle roof simply not my bridge. You recollect "Ah information technology'll never happen" [Lightening hitting it], Until it does...
Information technology's been 7 years since the redesign and I dearest my span, so the question now is restore (With added saftey features) or maybe it's time for a re-retrieve? A consummate change and re-design? Office of me thinks the latter, but so the other half is notwithstanding like - merely it's but a 1/4 of the span. I even contemplated 3/4 of the one-time and a new office on the end to continue to establish coninuity.
I have gone on my artistic copy of the world where the whole bridge was yet in that location and take come up upwards with 1 pattern I really similar, but am stuck for the elevation of the build. It's in very light neo-classical style, no wood, quartz, bone block and various sandstone variants:
It still needs ALOT of development in the roof department, information technology'southward too triangular correct at present, too traditional. There are expert points so far like the trident esq pattern on the sides. Originally done in sandstone until I got the idea to make them await actually like tridents.
I will continue prettying everything up after the new room projection and ponder the bridge situation. I've besides improved my spider subcontract bringing the floor and collection room floor upward.
